It’s perfectly fitting that our FIRST cake smash session be with our FIRST newborn client! Matthew is oh so very grown up at one year old and clearly ready to smash some cake! His expressions had his cheering section (aka: Mom, Dad, Grammy, and Ya Ya Barbara!) laughing and smiling the entire time. Jim and I had such a great time photographing this session for Matthew and his family and it proved yet again how lucky we are to be able to watch Matthew grow up. We are so fortunate to have friends like Matthew’s parents in our lives. Enjoy your preview, guys!

Jim and I were delighted that we were able to finally get to shoot Shawna & Ryan’s engagement!  They say that the third time is the charm and on our third attempt at rescheduling due to weather, we were given a chunk of time to work with thanks to Mother Nature!

To say that Ryan and Shawna were an absolute delight to photograph is an understatement!  If they weren’t laughing, they were smooching.  If they weren’t cuddling, they were giggling.  The perfect subjects in front of our lenses!  Ryan’s a total goofball and that makes our job even easier to catch those natural, fun, and unexpected moments!  don’t believe me?  Take a look…

Jim and I met up with Morgan and John at Colt State Park over the weekend for their engagement session.  What was supposed to be a rainy afternoon ended up being just the right shade of light to let us play outside for M+J’s session.  We had such ablast with these two love birds who were canoodling, giggling, and smooching the session away!  Bonus – I even received a little geography lesson!  Apparently Portland, ME is NOT 6 hours away! Jim and I “shipped up” to Boston over the weekend for our first engagement session of 2011! It was a rare, quiet afternoon in the city with Ashley and Jeff playing the role of the perfect subjects.  We spent some time down around the Waterfront area, as that is the place where Jeff popped the question to Ashly so it held some extra special meaning. After that we headed over to Levanthal Park, which is truly a hidden gem in the heart of Boston’s financial district.  Enjoy your preview, guys!

There’s a feeling you get when you meet a couple and you just instantly know that their wedding is going to be amazing. That’s exactly how Jim and I felt after meeting Courtney and Eric and let me tell you, their wedding lived up to every expectation we had. Fun, personal, sweet, and picturesque. C&E had one of the coolest bridal parties we’ve spent time with (complete with beer helmet and the ability to make us laugh at ourselves throughout the day!).
